An American figure skater won a bronze medal in his event and sent a nasty message directed towards Vice President Mike Pence. Placing third isn’t too bad if you’re in the Olympics, but it’s still the second place loser, and it loses even more worthiness when the athletes first task after winning is to disrespect the American Vice President. Just think, the figure skating fellow trained for all those years, then traveled all the way to South Korea, won a bronze medal, and all he could think about was throwing shade on Pence. Does that sound like someone we want to represent the United States of America? Not so much. This sounds like an entitled leftist hater who should be dropped off in North Korea when all the other athletes fly home. Any athletes who make America look bad aren’t worth being on the team.
That second place loser would be the U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon. He’s openly gay and his message to Mike Pence is that he will protest the Olympian visit to the White House upon the athlete’s arrival back home in the states. Rippon plans to protest Pence because he thinks Pence is anti-gay, homophobic, and dissed Pence over his Christian virtues. This is the textbook perfect picture of a guy who is just another entitled wimpy athlete who is so angry at the world, or himself that he thinks protesting the American presidency makes him look like the big bad hero. It accomplishes the opposite. Athletes who are invited to the White House should always go and be with their team. They should strike up a conversation with the people they disagree with. They should square up face to face and open discourse to get a first-hand feel on how each other feels about certain subjects.
Rippon’s protest suggestion comes after Pence had publically posted a very nice message about Rippon in support of him and all American athletes, regardless of if they were gay or straight. No one cares if Rippon is gay. People just want him to bring home the gold medal. However, it seems like he was so distracted by Pence that he could only win bronze. Either that or he’s just not that good.
I guess @adaripp and his second place losing bronze will be gay somewhere else. Any athlete who skips the White House is a wimp.

Fox News reported more on Rippon’s infantile decision to skip the White House:
“No. I have no desire to go to the White House. But I would like to do something to help my community,” he said. “I have kind of spoken out a lot and I’d like to do something positive and not just stay at home.”
Rippon said he would probably host an event to highlight his campaign against homophobia and support for gay rights.
Rippon took aim at Vice President Pence in January for what the skater said were the vice president’s anti-gay views. He also called Pence a hypocrite for espousing Christian virtues while standing by some of the divisive and inflammatory statements made by President Trump.
Last week, Pence tweeted his support for Rippon, saying “I want you to know we are FOR YOU. Don’t let fake news distract you. I am proud of you and ALL OF OUR GREAT athletes and my only hope for you and all of #TeamUSA is to bring home the gold. Go get ‘em.”
The president usually invites Olympians to a reception in Washington when the Games are finished, the Daily Mail noted.
Rippon was part of the team Sunday night that took home the bronze medal in the team figure skating competition. He finished his performance with 172.9 points, less than a point behind Russian skater Mikhail Kolyada and less than seven points behind Patrick Chan of Canada.
“We made a few changes with my coach and I was able to put together a strong performance,” Rippon said, “but there’s definitely a few points I want to squeeze out of this performance. I have one week until the individual and I’m going to be squeezing the hell out of it, you can believe that.”
I know something Rippon can squeeze. He can squeeze Pence out of his negative thoughts and be with the rest of the American Olympians who will be honored at the White House. Maybe Rippon can squeeze something positive out of his brain and say something nice about the President and Vice President considering Pence openly supported a gay man and that could have come with a lot of scrutiny from Pence’s followers.
Vice President Mike Pence openly tagged Rippon in a message and told him directly that he supports the skater. What else can you ask for from Mike Pence? Did Rippon want a backrub in a hot tub? Is Rippon an overgrown manbaby like the football players who plan to skip the trip in the form of protest? Anyone who skips the trip to the White House because they disagree with someone is very childish and you merely have to lose a little bit of respect for them.
No offense, but he’s a figure skater anyway. The only sport on skates worth watching is MEN’S hockey.
